The past two years have seen much success for students from The City Law School and we're hoping this year will be no different!
Highlights include the four students winning the European Human Rights Moot Court Competition in March 2014 - all of the students (Niall Coghlin, Ali Nihat, Howard Leithead and Anna Dannreuther) studied their GDL at City, with the boys all continuing with their BPTC at City. They triumphed against a team from the University of Athens at the final, in front of 9 human rights experts. Read about Niall's experience via the Lawbore blog.
Later in 2014, a City team competed in the Vis International Arbitration Moot in Vienna with one of the team, David Green, being given an honourable mention. The team coach Petya Ilieva gave us an insight into their experience on Learnmore.
A team from Inner Temple were named national champions in the Telders International Moot before going to compete at the Hague. Three out of four of this team were City GDL students.
In addition, in 2013 two BPTC students (Matthew Sellwood and Daniele Selmi) went on to win the Commonwealth Student Moot in South Africa, the first time in a decade that a team from the UK had won. Matt kindly blogged for us during their time in Cape Town.
